This video was made from 8mm film in 1965 and depicts a condensed ocean surveilance patrol. These patrols were normally 10 to 12 hours in duration. The aircraft is a P5M/B seaplane, the last seaplane in the US Navy. The flight began from Sangly Point Naval Station Republic of the Phillipines.
